Laager 9 NEWS

September 2019 Sleepy Hollow

Friday: We had 10 vans at the camp & then on Saturday we were up to 12. I think a lot of our members had prior commitments and were unable to make it. We had a nice fire for the braai & Clinton managed to scare off the monkeys with his gun!

Saturday: Woke up early to see our 3 runners off _ quite a hill to climb’’’ so some of us went up to the farmers market at St Albans to have breakfast and to give them a lift back. In the Afternoon some of our braver members went for a walk with Robin then we just had an Earlyish braai. Of course our fire master got into trouble because he had not put the flag up & he could not even phone for help because we had no reception!!

Sunday: We were expecting heavy rain much sooner so everyone packed up early and we had Shan a na at 10 At least Karen could get her own back! As she was Jakkals!! One last thought after a very nice weekend- Thanks so much to our club ‘statue’ Brian for towing the trailer back for us! It was much appreciated.

L21 - Millers Point 6th - 8th Sept

Club | News
Miller’s Point Municipal Caravan Park is located 5 km south of Simonstown on the road to Cape Point. The campsites are located in such a way that one has uninterrupted views across False Bay, and direct access to the small but tranquil and beautiful beach below. Views from the road above are of impressively large boulders along the coastline, sheltered swimming areas which include beautiful turquoise to blue waters and secluded nooks. At times, the beautiful water looks more like they belong to some far-away tropical island!
